Can I Block Students From Seeing Their Work After They Submit?

Yes. Classwork allows you to hide student work after submission so students cannot view their answers or the activity content once they submit.

This option is controlled during the assignment setup process.

Enable the Hide Student Work Setting

When creating an assignment, go to Step 3 of 3 and locate the setting labeled After submission.

Select the option Hide student's work.

This setting ensures that once students submit the assignment, they will not be able to view:

• Their answers
• The activity content
• The underlying worksheet or questions

What Students See After Submitting

After clicking Submit, students will see a simple confirmation screen that says Answers Submitted.

Even if students reload or reopen the assignment, their work will remain hidden.

Allow Students to See Their Work Again

When you are ready for students to view their work again, you can return the submission.

Open the assignment and choose Return for the student's submission. Once returned, the student will be able to see the activity again along with any feedback you provided.

Return Multiple Submissions at Once

You can also return multiple submissions at the same time.

• Select the checkboxes next to the submissions you want to return.
• Click the ... menu at the top of the list.
• Choose Return Selected.

You can also select the checkbox at the top of the list to return work for all students at once.
