When editing an image, a small toolbar will appear with the following tools:

Select Tool

Delete Tool

Removes any shapes that have been added to the image.

Undo and Redo

Steps backward or forward through your most recent edits.

Shape Tool

Currently, the only available shape is a rectangle.

Rectangles act as color blocks and can be used to cover or hide parts of an image.

When a rectangle is selected, you can customize:

  • Fill Color
  • Stroke Color (border color)
  • Stroke Width (border thickness)

Color selection includes:

  • A gradient selector
  • A color spectrum
  • Manual Hex or RGBA entry
  • Common and recently used colors

Crop Tool

Allows you to trim the visible area of the image.

After adjusting the crop area, two options will appear just above the image:

  • Apply (checkmark) to confirm the crop
  • Cancel (X) to discard the crop

Select Apply to crop the image.

Saving Image Edits

When you are finished editing, click the blue Save button in the upper-right corner of the image editor.

Saving will flatten all edits into a single image.

Once the image is saved, the edits cannot be undone.

Important: When you click Save, all edits are permanently applied and flattened into the image. You will not be able to undo or modify individual edits afterward.

To turn an image into a clickable link, follow the same steps outlined above to insert your image, or use an image that already exists on the uploaded activity.

  1. Draw a box around the image area — whether it's part of the original upload or an image you added using the Content Tool.
  2. Click Insert, then from the Content Tools menu, select Link.
  3. A pop-up window will appear where you can paste the URL for your link.
  4. You may also add a label. If you want the image itself to be the only clickable element, simply leave the label field blank.
  5. Click OK to apply the link.

Now, when students or teachers click on the image area, they’ll be taken directly to the linked URL.
