Creating a PDF from Google Docs, Google Slides, Microsoft Word or Powerpoint

Import Google Docs or Convert Word to PDF

Classwork.com allows you to add auto-graded interactivity to existing documents. You can import Google Docs and Google Slides directly from Google Drive, or convert Microsoft Word and PowerPoint files to PDF before uploading.

Import from Google Drive

When creating a new Activity, click Import from Google Drive to upload a Google Doc or Google Slide directly.

After importing, you can add auto-graded interactions directly on top of the content.

Convert Word or PowerPoint to PDF

Microsoft Word and PowerPoint files must be converted to PDF before uploading to Classwork.com.

Follow these steps:

  • Open your Word or PowerPoint document.
  • Click the File menu.
  • Select Save As.

  • Click the dropdown arrow next to the file type.

  • Choose PDF (*.pdf) from the list of file types. In PowerPoint, PDF appears near the top of the file type options.

  • Choose a location on your computer to save the PDF.

Upload and Make It Auto-Graded

After saving your file as a PDF, upload it when creating a new Activity in Classwork.com.

Follow the steps in this guide to complete the process:  How to Create a New Activity

Once uploaded, add auto-graded interactions directly on top of the PDF content. This allows you to transform existing materials into interactive assignments in just a few minutes.
