I get an error saying "You do not have permission to download this shared file" when loading from Google Drive |
That error message comes from Google and means that you don't have permissions from the original file owner to download the file.
Contact the file owner and share these directions so that they can enable your ability to download the file.
To allow me to download this file, please follow these steps:
- Open the file in Google Drive.
- Click "Share" in the upper right-hand corner of the screen. That will open the sharing popup.
- Click the "cog" icon in the right-hand corner of the sharing popup to open the settings.
- Make sure the box reading "Viewers and commenters can see the option to download, print, and copy" is checked.
- Click the left arrow to go back to the sharing popup.
- Click the "Done" button.
Thank you!
