State Standards Reporting

To use TeacherMade's state standards view, you first must tag your questions with relevant state standards:

Once you've tagged an Activity's questions with standards, open any student Submission. Then click the Standards icon on the left:

You can view student performance against state standards one of two ways: by item or by student.

To View By Item

The default view is the By Item view. It shows you how students performed against specific standards. Note that only scored items are displayed in this view.

Each row in the table represents an individual standard. The columns represent the following information:

StandardThe standard abbreviation. You can hover over the abbreviation with your mouse to read the text of the standard.
ItemsThe number of items in this Activity that have been aligned to this standard. Unscored items are not counted.

Notice in the above example that item 1 appears twice: once for 9-12.8.A and again for 9-12.4.A. That means that item has been aligned to multiple standards.
TotalThe overall score across all students for all items aligned to this standard.
ItemsEach sub-column represents a single item aligned to this standard, and displays the overall score for that item for all students.

Hover over the item to see what kind of question was being asked (e.g. in the above, Item 1 is a Multiple Choice question).

Items are numbered in the order they appear in the Activity, from left to right, top to bottom, and may not correspond with the question numbers on your Activity background.

To View By Student

Click the "By Student" tab to view the results per student.

In this view, each row represents an individual student. Each column represents a standard. The value in each cell is the student's aggregate score across all questions that align to that standard. You can hover your mouse over the standard abbreviation to read the full text of the standard.

Return to Submissions

When you're finished viewing standards, click "Close" in the upper right.
