Assignment Detail Screen Overview |
The Assignment Detail screen is your command center for reviewing, managing, and scoring Classwork assignments. Here's a high-level look at everything available in this view.
Left Panel: Assignment Info & Settings

This section shows you details about the assignment itself and gives you options for editing, locking, sharing, and printing.
Top Row of Buttons:
- Eye icon – Preview the assignment
- Pencil icon – Edit the activity
- 3-Dot Menu:
- Edit Assignment
- Lock/Unlock Assignment
- Rescore Assignment
- Edit Student Names
- Print Activity
- Print Answer Key
- Archive Assignment
Assignment Title & Delivery Info
Just below the action buttons in the left panel, you'll see assignment metadata and quick-edit options:
- Title – This is the name of the assignment. Click the Edit button to rename it.
- Lock Status– Displays a lock icon and message:
- Green unlocked icon with “This assignment is open” if unlocked
- Red locked icon with "This assignment is manually closed" if locked
- Click Edit to change lock settings
- Delivery Type– Shows the method used to assign:
- Classwork.com
- Google Classroom
- Canvas
- Schoology
- Last Field (Varies by Delivery Type):
- Classwork.com – Shows Sign-in Method
- Google Classroom – Shows Google Classroom Points
- Canvas / Schoology – nothing
Sharing & LMS Integration Options
Depending on your assignment delivery method, you may see additional buttons or help text:
- Classwork.com:
- "Share the link below with your students." with Copy Link button
- Share to Google Classroom button
- Share to Microsoft Teams button
- Google Classroom:
- Message: "This assignment has been published in Google Classroom."
- Go to Google Classroom button (links directly to the GC assignment)
- Canvas / Schoology:
- Setup instructions for pushing the assignment to your LMS
- Link to our full LMS integration guide
- Direct assignment link for embedding or posting manually
Right Panel: Student Submissions
This is where you track student progress, view submissions, and take action on one or more students.

3-Dot Menu:
- Review All Submissions
- Item Analysis
- Reopen / Reset Selected
- Reopen keeps student work and allows them to continue
- Reset clears all answers for a fresh start
- Set Selected as Completed
- Return Selected
- Undo Return for Selected
- Export Scores to CSV
- Print Selected
Student List
Displays each student's:
- Name
- Status (In Progress, Submitted, Returned, etc.)
- Score
- Submission date/time
- Green indicator if the student is actively working
Inline 3-Dot Menu (next to student name):
- Review Submission
- Reopen / Reset
- Set as Completed
- Undo Return
- Print Submission
- Delete Submission
Submission Review Screen
When reviewing a student's work, you’ll access a detailed view that includes their responses, scoring tools, and options for feedback.
3-Tier Navigation Menu (Left Side)
- Review All – View and scroll through each student's full submission
- Item Analysis – See a class-wide breakdown of correct/incorrect answers by question
- Standards – View class results by tagged standards (if standards were assigned to questions)
Exit Review Mode
- Click the Back button in the top-right to return to the Assignment Detail screen
