Student Preview (Eye Icon) – Assignment Detail Screen

The Eye icon appears in the upper-left panel of the Assignment Detail screen, just above the assignment title.

Student Preview Mode

Clicking the Eye icon opens Student Preview Mode. This allows you to experience the assignment nearly the same way your students will see it.

Preview mode is useful for checking:

• Assignment layout
• Question formatting
• Navigation flow
• Interactive tools
• Scoring behavior

How Preview Mode Works

When preview mode is open:

• Most question types and interactive tools behave the same way they will for students.
• Some student-only tools, such as Read Aloud, will not function in preview mode.
• You can complete the activity like a student, but responses will not be saved or submitted.

When to Use Student Preview

Use the Eye icon to verify the student experience and confirm everything works correctly before assigning the activity.

This quick check can help you identify formatting issues, missing instructions, or question setup problems before students begin working.
