How Do I Answer "My Grade Level" Question? |
We like to know about our users, so we'll periodically ask you to tell us about yourself.
If you're not in the United States, though, you might be confused by our question about what grade levels you teach. Here's a guide to help you translate from the age of your students to the equivalent "Grade Level."
Approx. Age | U.S. Grade Level |
---|---|
4–5 years | Pre-Kindergarten (Pre-K) |
5–6 years | Kindergarten |
6–7 years | 1st Grade |
7–8 years | 2nd Grade |
8–9 years | 3rd Grade |
9–10 years | 4th Grade |
10–11 years | 5th Grade |
11–12 years | 6th Grade |
12–13 years | 7th Grade |
13–14 years | 8th Grade |
14–15 years | 9th Grade (Freshman) |
15–16 years | 10th Grade (Sophomore) |
16–17 years | 11th Grade (Junior) |
17–18 years | 12th Grade (Senior) |
